I love to get emails after I ship. I have to admit I don't take the time after I order something online to send an email, but I love it when I get them. I will try to mend my ways. :)

The other day my mom (Barbara) bought my daughter a beautiful Biscotti dress and your store was the first place I thought of! We got the small stack hair bow in ivory, pink and lt. sage. It looks just beautiful next to the dress. I was worried we wouldn't find a dressy enough bow but the bow from you is PERFECT! Ribbon Addiction

It's a good thing....Right? OK times this by, oh say 25 and that is the amount of new yardage that belongs to me. Yahooey! Sometimes I need new patterns or colors to keep the creativity flowing. If you are a quilter, sewing person, crafter, scrapbooker etc etc you know what I mean. New stuff is sometimes the best stuff. Creations coming soon!

I'm Home!

We drove in last night! The wedding was fabulous, my sister looked gorgeous. The reception was beautiful. And.....I am exhausted. I will be posting pictures of the flower girls, all 16 of them in their adorable dresses and matching hair bows all from you know where!! WINK WINK ;) Very Soon. So, the wedding was the real reason I went home, you know I did not come back empty handed. I have NEW ribbon. Unbelievable. As soon as I find out which bag I packed the camera in you will be the first to see it.


Oh, Lili loved her dress up veil I made for her birthday. She is a very grown up 4 years old. I did not get a picture of her wearing it, which makes me so sad. However, you will know soon enough what it looks like because it is the next tutorial. So much fun. My little girls have been wearing theirs for years now. Just can not play dress up with out it! Stay Tuned!

Easter Headband Tutorial

This year for Easter I am doing something a little different than the regular Easter Hair Bow we normally do. I love this little flower headband. My little girls love it too. It is so simple and fun, you could do it together! List of supplies

Glue gun --I love my low temp glue gun it works just as well and I still have all the skin on my fingers. :)

Wood burner or lighter

pliers

ribbon covered headband (I chose Polka Dots just for fun!)

your choice of flowers

flower clip tutorial


After following the directions for the flower clips, minus the clips. You will have flat flowers that will lay very nicely on the headband.

Find the middle, I like to use a clothes pin. No marks, and they will help with the spacing. Super fast!

Glue a flower on both sides of the pin.

Add clothes pins to the sides of those 2 flowers and glue 2 more flowers on and.....

You are done. How easy was that? The flowers are evenly spaced and of course they lay nice and flat.

She wanted to put this one on the moment she saw it.

And there you have it. Our cute Easter Headband.

I tossed and turned all night. I did. 16 ibuprofen later-not all at once mind you, I have come up with a fantastic solution. I really wish I could give a dress away to all of you. The Hair Bow

I have a picture (finally) of the matching hair bow for the giveaway! This is my favorite bow to make. I love Satin Ribbon, and the wide middle is just so cute!

*Hair Bow Tip* Do not be afraid of satin hair bows. If they go flat (which they will) all you need to poof them up is a small barrel curling iron, or one that will fit in the loops. Heat it up and "curl" the ribbon back to perfection. You do not want the curling iron to hot. Just like ironing your clothes, in a round about sort of way :)

Crochet Hats I've got em!

I gave in. Don't get me wrong I think they are adorable. But you know how fashion goes in-should I say Spurts. I thought for sure this crochet hat thing would be over by now. And I could just skip carrying them in the Shoppe. Nope. Everybody wants them. Still. So the big NEWS. I have got em. I decided to be a bit picky on the colors however. Here they are

They are darling, I will say that! If you add the perfect Korker flower, she will look adorable! I have also updated the flowers category with a new spikey gerbera daisy. I know it is not good.......

to have favorites. But the dresses I ordered for our Spring Dress Event arrived today, and I have a new favorite. I knew it was going to be adorable, but it is BEYOND adorable. You have to see this dress, the skirt is completely embroidered with checks and pink dots. The sash is non-remove able and ties into the most beautiful bow in the back. It is lined with a tulle underskirt which gives it just the right amount of poof! I love the ivory and pink color combo. This is the dress your little princess needs!

Can you put a bow on a....?

Sometimes I just gotta! I don't put a hair bow on just anything, but this is my favorite cow! It is one of those little toys that you push the bottom and it can move its head, wag it's tail, or completely collapse if you want it to. I love them. I have since I was little . So I stuck a bow on it. Looks cute......Yeah?

Now for the exciting news.

This week I ordered the spring line of dresses for the shop. I love picking out the new ones. I think it helps that I have a 4 year old and 6 year old. I try to think what they would like to wear, and what would most make them feel like a princess! The new ones are on the site HERE and I have added the Little Sister category for little ones 12 months to 24 months. There is nothing cuter than matching sisters. I am working on getting the hair bows edited and on. Very fun! Our Holiday dresses were gorgeous last year, but the spring line is amazing. I know you will love them. And the best part, they are made right here in the USA. OH, and they are washable, no dry cleaning here! OK one more best part, they are lined with a tulle underlay to give the dress extra princess..ness!
